fox 5's tom fitzgerald live at the pentagon. tom. >> reporter: brian, you know, this was a different memorial than we have seen in past years. president obama made his address, as you said, this morning to victims' families and pentagon officials, and the memorial itself remained closed until noon today. we can tell you that the size of the crowds we saw today were smaller but it is also true to say that the people who came here told us they still feel very strongly about this place and that day 11 years after 9/11. on a stretch of land just next to the pentagon sits 183 benches bearing 183 names, one for each of the victims that dade here on 9/11. >> i don't know, it's just a wonderful place to sit and reflect. >> reporter: marlene and don of iowa had a brother--law who worked in the pentagon. he wasn't here on 9/11, but they know others weren't so lucky. >> you see the importance of it, that we do honor all the people who died in the crash. >> reporter: these benches are laid out in the order of the victims' ages. julian was i
